Our Story

Silver Lining Africa (SiLA) is a non-profit organization based in Cameroon, with authorization No. 38/E.29/1111/VOL.8/ALPAS of May 23, 2019. We exist to give hope to those who need it the most. Our beneficiaries come from all ten regions of Cameroon and communities in other African countries, and we train in the domains of leadership, peacebuilding, and entrepreneurship. We equally seek to restore peace in conflict-affected areas through training, funding, and mentorship. The major activities of the association since its creation in June 2015 have been:

  1. Organization of training on conflict management, peacebuilding, leadership, hate speech, and related topics for CSO leaders, local youth council representatives, journalists, and enterprises.
  2. Empowerment of women and youths through bootcamps and workshops with entrepreneurial skills.
  3. Empowerment of IDPs from the North West and South West regions due to the ongoing Anglophone crisis with skills in farm entrepreneurship, funding, and expert follow-up
  4. Donation of food, clothing, toiletries, and academic
materials in orphanages in Cameroon and empowerment of orphans by
acquainting them with skills in ICT while linking them to tons of
opportunities the technology has to offer.
  5. Youth civic engagement through the propagation of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and actions to build healthy societies, such as human investment activities, clean-up campaigns, civic education in schools, and volunteering.
